Baltimore’s 9th Annual Cranksgiving!

Cranksgiving is Saturday, November 18th
Team Ride and Food Drive: 1:00-3:00pm
After Party: 3:30-6:00pm

Start and end at Charm City Meadworks

Cranksgiving is a national event that combines bike riding and giving back. It's a mix of a scavenger hunt, food drive, and bike ride. We'll give you a list of food items and grocery stores, and then you'll have a set amount of time to ride to as many of the stores to collect as many of the food items as you can. All of the food goes to our food partners, Moveable Feast and Franciscan Center.

Basically, it's all about food for people in need and riding bikes with friends, new and old.

General Registration Closes November 15th.
General registration is, and always will be, free. Bikemore relies on the generosity of sponsors and donors to put on this event, so optional donations are still encouraged.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Riders can create teams of up to 4 people to participate. We definitely recommend putting together a team of 3-4 people for maximum fun!

Cranksgiving will have a 1:00pm in-person start at Charm City Meadworks. We recommend you get there a bit early, as digital manifests will be emailed to teams promptly at 1:00pm.

When you get your manifest email, it's your cue to begin the food drive/scavenger hunt/bike ride! Your manifest will include a list of grocery stores and a list of items to buy, as well as outdoor challenge checkpoints to gain extra points. Your team will collectively decide in which order you want to complete the various stops and end by bringing the food items to donate at the Franciscan Center or Moveable Feast.

You'll need to be back to the food partner by 3:00pm to score points.

Does it cost money?

Cranksgiving is free to ride (at general registration) but we suggest bringing $10-$15 cash to buy food to donate. Early Bird Registration includes a fee to cover the cost of your t-shirt.

Of course, donations to Bikemore are encouraged :)

Tell us about prize categories!

There will be prizes awarded for teams placing in first, second, third, and dead freakin' last. We will also have prizes for riders winning the Best Costume/Team Spirit, Family Riders, and FTW (femme, trans, women, non-binary, two-spirit people) categories.

COVID-19 Precautions

To make this ride socially distant, inclusive, and safe for participants and staff, here's what we're doing:

  • Emailed manifests allowing teams to remain outdoors at Meadworks

  • More outdoor, open-air stops and open air scoring/food drop-off

  • Outdoor availability at the after-party venue
