The latest news and updates from Bikemore
Some last minute changes for today's Loch Raven Ride.
First, the ride is now free. There will be no BBQ, but riders are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages.
Refunds will be granted as soon as possible.
Otherwise, the ride will be the same. It rolls at 10am today at the Wyman Park Dell.
The Baltimore Family Bike Party is doing its thing once again this Saturday. The route will take riders through South Baltimore for a fun loop through Federal Hill, Riverside Park and Sharp-Leadenhall, ending at the Solo Gibbs Park Splash Pad for the first Baltimore Family Biking Pool Party.

This month's Baltimore Bike Party is beach themed, and listen up: they're switching it up a little bit. Not only will this month meet at Pearlstone Park, it will meet on the 23rd (rather than 30th). Here's the word from Facebook:
Spread smiles, cheers, laughs, and high fives on our monthly ride through Baltimore City! This month our afterparty will be in partnership with The Gathering and ending at West Shore Park in the Inner Harbor. Expect food trucks, beer (yes we have beer again!), DJ Ro and great times!

We've updated our Baltimore Cycling 101 section with a new post entitled "What to Do if You're Involved in a Bike Crash."
This is definitely handy information to remember if you're ever unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident.
Remember, if you become a Bikemore member, you will receive a folded business card with all of this information, as well as space for all of the pertinent information you should write down, i.e. driver's name, etc.
First, the good: Clipper Mill Road and the Jones Falls Trail are enjoying an uptick in cyclists. Maybe you're one of them.
Now, the bad: debris.
So, let's do something about it. Join Bikemore on August 24 to clean up Clipper Mill and the Jones Falls Trail. Here's the word from our Facebook event page:
Clipper Mill and Falls Road comprise a popular route for cyclists, but there's currently some debris on the roadway that is hazardous to cyclists.
Come help clear debris from Clipper Mill and Falls Roads between Ash Street and the Jones Falls Trail switchback (and possibly further south if we have enough time). The City will have two trucks to help us out, but we need volunteers to help cut back vines and brush, and load same onto said trucks!
If you can bring working chainsaws, please let us know!
Volunteers of all strengths and skill levels are welcome.
Meet at the Birroteca parking lot at 9am. If you come after that, just find us along the road.
